Victorian union movement declares free public transport for MCG anti- Howard Rally next Thursday

The VTHC has announced that all trams and trains to the MCG on Thursday November 30 will be free of charge, as of 6.00am onwards.
Mr Brian Boyd, VTHC Secretary said today, “That anyone heading for the MCG for the National Day of Protest against John Howard’s IR laws will not be checked for fares”.
“We welcome the support from the rank and file RTBU membership for this very important event for the trade union movement and the wider community,” said Brian Boyd, VTHC Secretary.
Mr Boyd expressed confidence in a huge turn up next Thursday, especially with the free public transport being made available.
