Latrobe Valley Jobs Reps Support Nov 30

The Gippsland TLC conducted an All Unions’ Shop Stewards and Delegates Meeting on Friday 29 September 2006.It was held at the Morwell Football Club – Committee Rooms.
After hearing reports from VTHC Secretary Brian Boyd, Gippsland TLC Secretary John Parker the meeting voted to support the next National Day of Protest to be held on November 30th. In particular the meeting agreed to hire buses to take as many Gippsland workers as possible to the MCG on the day. It was agreed that filling the ‘G’ was an important task for the union movement to achieve.
There was also discussion about the upcoming VTHC Country Cavalcade and how to tackle the Federal marginal seats of McMillan and Gippsland in next year’s Federal election.
