500 Victorian jobs at risk at Tabcorp

500 jobs at Tabcorp Account Sales (telephone betting call centres) are at risk following Tabcorp's take over of the NSW TAB.

Tabcorp are due to make a decision on the future of Account Sales in March, and it is likely that they will consolidate their call centres at one location.

This campaign is about applying pressure on Tabcorp to keep Account Sales jobs here in Victoria. The ASU, the union representing the workers believes the loss of 500 jobs would be a devastating blow to the Victorian economy and a tragedy for the many long serving loyal Tabcorp staff.

It launched its campaign to save Victorian jobs on Saturday 26 February at Caulfield Racecourse.

The union is collecting signatures on a petition to State Parliament, asking the government to do all possible to encourage Tabcorp to keep the jobs in Victoria. We are also asking supporters to send a postcard to Tabcorp CEO Matthew Slatter.

The major campaign event will be a rally of Tabcorp workers on the steps of Parliament House on Tuesday 8th March.

How Can You Help?

Go to the ASU website to download a copy of the petition to Parliament and start collecting signatures.
