Organiser / Industrial Officer

We are an industry union representing the interests of workers in the Victorian mining and energy sectors and are seeking to employ an organiser / industrial officer based in Latrobe Valley.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Applicants will need to demonstrate the following:
1. A genuine commitment to unionism and social justice;
2. The ability and willingness to listen to the concerns and ideas of members and represent them;
3. The ability to lead and negotiate effectively;
4. A sound commitment to and understanding of occupational health and safety and its laws and regulations;
5. Effective oral and written communication skills (including the use of computers);
6. Effective skills in time management and record keeping; and
7. Ability to interpret and knowledge of awards, agreements and industrial laws.
Other Details:
Salary: up to $60,000.
The successful applicant must possess and maintain a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
