National Day of Protest - Traffic Information

Victorian Trades Hall Council today issued a warning to the Victorian public, urging them to avoid travelling into the city on Tuesday, unless they were planning to attend the National Day of Action on November 15.

VTHC Secretary, Brian Boyd said that tens of thousands of workers were expected to attend the community meeting in the city and as a result mass disruptions were expected.

“We have met with the management of the Victoria Police Force and their view has been that where possible people should avoid coming into the city on Thursday.

“We are also discouraging Victorian’s from bringing their cars into the city – we are concerned that the rally is going to cause traffic congestion,” Mr Boyd said.
