Retrenched workers need your support at ABM Plastics

There is an urgent need for solidarity with the workers at ABM Plastics. They have been picketing the plant since 21 January in order to force the company owner Abe Waisman to pay them $2.5 million in redundancy entitlements.

The picket was set up to stop printing company Amcor Fibre Packaging from removing equipment it bought after ABM Plastics went into receivership last November.

The workers are members of the AMWU's printing division and the NUW. Injunctions have been taken out against union officials and ABM workers to stop them from participating in the picket line, so the workers urgently need support from the rest of the community on the picket line.

The picket is at: ABM Plastics 52-62 Tarnard Drive Braeside.

If you can attend but need a lift give James Vasselopoulos a ring on 0405 309 283 or 9639 8622.
