Tens of Thousands to Rally - Thursday 30 June

Workers from a wide cross section of the community are expected to rally in the centre of Melbourne this Thursday against the I.R. changes that the Howard Government will put through the Senate in August.
Secretary of the Victorian Trades Hall Council, Mr. Brian Boyd said that tens of thousands of Victorians were expected to join the march and rally and that it would be the largest Victorians had seen in 15 years.
“Workers will be joined by church and community representatives to hear from a range of speakers about the effects of the proposed legislation on families,” Mr. Boyd said.
Victorian Trades Hall Council will be conducting a range of activities in the National Week of Action, organised by the ACTU.
