VTHC gets behind ACTU’S T.V. Ads I.R. Blitz

The T.V. Ads Campaign is designed to highlight the worst excesses of John Howard’s proposed Industrial relations laws.  The ads will highlight how ordinary Australian workers will suffer heightened victimisation with the ending of unfair dismissal laws and the planned spread of individual contracts against collective workplace agreements.

“The ACTU’s T.V. ads will boost the already huge numbers intending to turn up at the VTHC’s Stop Work and Rally for Thursday 30th June,” said Mr Brian Boyd, VTHC Secretary today.

“With the Prime Minister’s announcements in Parliament last month, virtually ending unfair dismissal rights and gutting the Award and Collective bargaining stream, there will be plenty of angry workers and members of the wider community in the streets, letting Canberra know it is in for a long fight,” said Mr Boyd.
