Federal Labor's IR Taskforce to visit Deakin
The new dates for the Federal Labor's IR Taskforce visit to the seat of Deakin are April 19 & 20. They are planning a public hearing on the 19th to be held between 3.00 & 7.00.
They would like to hear from workers examples of:
- employers' using the new IR laws to undermine employment security and conditions
- workplaces in the electorate which it would be possible for the Taskforce to visit
- delegates and activists who can tell their stories and express their concerns to the Taskforce hearings.
This is an excellent opportunity to get your union's message out through the local media to the community so we are particularly interested in stories that provide a photo opportunity.
Please contact Linda Cargill at lcargill@asupsvic.org if you have delegates, workplaces or stories so we can coordinate our efforts to deliver a clear message to both the Taskforce and the community that these laws will have an adverse effect on peoples' working lives.
