LHMU offers childcare workers bridging course

LHMU Victoria is supporting an important childcare course which will allow members to upgrade their skills for the childcare industry.

Recognition under new childcare award won by LHMU in 2005
The Swinburne TAFE bridging course will allow you to be recognised as a Children's Services Employee Level 3 according to the Childrens Services Victoria Award 2005. This breakthrough award was won by LHMU childcare activists in 2005 according to LHMU Victoria Assistant Secretary, Jane Farrell.

"More than 15,000 child care workers won wage increases of between $6 and $148 per week, as a result of that case run by the LHMU Childcare Union," Jane Farrell said.

"Enrolling in this course at Swinburne TAFE will allow members to maximise potential wages - that's why we are supporting this Certificate course."
