Victoria’s state schools win higher standard

Victorian schools and contract cleaners register excitement in 2006

Victoria’s state schools have won a new higher standard of cleaning following a successful “Clean Up School Cleaning" campaign by parents, principals and school cleaners.

New era for school cleaning standards - LHMU Code companies recognised
All contractors must show the Department of Education of Training that they meet rigorous new standards before they can contract in schools. LHMU Code companies are already recognised by the State Government as meeting many of these standards.

LHMU Code contractors offer top quality services whilst assuring schools that they provide appropriate legal wages and working conditions to their hard-working cleaners.

How to get registered for the new era
School principals and Councils can contact the LHMU to identify the LHMU Code company serving their area.
Cleaning contractors are invited to contact the LHMU to apply for LHMU Code status.
