VTHC Eight Hour Day Dinner

Trades Hall held its Eight Hour Day Dinner at the Victorian Museum on 21 April 2006.

The Victorian Trades Hall Council held a dinner to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the winning of the Eight Hour Day. Around 500 people attended the gala event at the Victorian Museum in scenes reminiscent of the original Eight Hour Dinner held in 1856.
Victorian Arts Minister, Mary Delahunty, addressed the audience as did VTHC Secretary, Brian Boyd and Victorian IR Minister, Rob Hulls. The evening was MC by Melbourne radio personality, Tracy Bartram. Comedian John Walker also entertained the gathering.
A good time was had by all.
