Position:  Director of Organising

Overview:
Recently created hands-on national position, the occupant will be required to plan and undertake co-ordination of the Association's collective membership recruitment and retention activities. 
 
Job Description:
The occupant will be responsible for management of the Association's collective organising and growth initiative including strategic planning and budgeting, will provide and coordinate membership organising, recruitment and retention training, assist groups of members to identify issues of common interest, and liaise with other union, employer representatives and governments on industrial and professional issues affecting the Association's interests.


Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Experience in developing and growing a membership-based organisation and persuasive leadership skills are the key requirements for this leading-edge role.
Desired:
A thorough knowledge of contemporary industrial relations issues along with demonstrated success in dealing with professional employees and managers would be advantageous. 

Salary:
An appropriate package commensurate with experience and qualification will be negotiated for the position.
