Unions demand action on WorkCover

25th September 2008
The VTHC is urging affiliates to attend a protest today outside a function where the VWA’s end of year financial and operational results will be announced.

The protest will highlight the VTHC’s concerns regarding the Hanks Review recommendations and the many premium cuts given to employers and the poor benefits offered to injured workers.

The details of the protest are:

12 noon TODAY - Thursday, 25 September 2008

The RACV Club,

501 Bourke Street ,

Melbourne

People attending the event will be given a double-sided voucher. One side will be a Ration Card for injured workers and the other a Gift Voucher for employers to receive a $2 billion cut in premiums.
