Return to Work Compliance codes
The new Compliance codes covering Return to Work come into force from 1 April and cover the obligations and responsibilities of employers – including labour hire - injured workers and Return to Work Coordinators.
Copies of the final versions of the codes will not be available before that date, but drafts of them have been circulated to affiliates.
After the codes are released the VWA will explain how they operate at a seminar at the Trades Hall.
The codes and new Ministerial Directions underpin the legislative changes to Return to Work that started on 1 July 2010.
Two Ministerial Directions have been published in the Government Gazette along with a schedule of WorkCover payments.
